Investigators officials report Army psychiatrist accused of the Fort Hood massacre will be charged by the U.S. military rather than a civilian court. Officials also report the shooter, Maj. Malik Hasan communicated with a radical imam overseas at least 10 to 20 times.

    Although the mass shooting took place almost a week ago, this summary is still very newsworthy because of the enormity of what happened. In particular, the newest development in your report will be of interest to readers, because the U.S. military is charging the suspect, although the FBI were on the scene, too. The summary made me wonder if the U.S. military is considered as strict as civil court.
